Always happy with them. In addition to the points made by this editor (esp the heel slipping), my fabric on the cuff and where the shoe bends both broke down within weeks (which has never happened before) and the soles wore more quickly. Terrible edition. Hopefully they don’t cut corners on the next edition and do something to get the loyal wearers back.

A really inflexible shoe that lost the feel of the 1226 and didn’t even correct my over pronation very well. Sorry NB but I jumped ship to the Mizuno Wave Alchemy. Not nearly as comfortable as my 1226’s were they help the pronation.

I love many things about them – the cushioning is great – not too hard, not too soft and the lining is really comfortable.

I have had no problems with heel-slippage and, whilst the ride isn’t as smooth as the 1226, I was surprised to read “A stiff thermoplastic unit running from the mid-foot to the heel of the shoe”?????? The stabilicore on this shoe is a clear black ‘rubber’ type piece, with the only thermoplastic seeming to be the StabilityWeb, which is 2″ long at most.

My only complaint is that they aren’t anywhere close to as breathable as the 1226.

I thought i was the only “NB fan” out there who thought the 1260 wasn’t spot on. I have the 1226 and since i bought them in ’09, it was one of the best running shoes i have ever had. Last Oct. 2011, i went into a marathon which lasted me 8 (yep..eight) hours & didn’t get sore the next day. Just came to visit the NB store last weekend & tried the 1260. i could still remember the feel i had when i first tried the latter, & it wasn’t upto par. The cushioning were unevenly distributed into three sections of the shoe. The sales rep said that the 1260 was a product of different runner’s criterions. Didn’t feel like it though. Do you have any reviews about the Mizuno Wave Creation? I read somewhere it was one of the top contenders for 2012. I happen to be a low-arch guy. Thanks for any info.
